How to Configure Freight Minimums and Surcharges for Invoicing

In cases where Fright Minimum Charges and Freight Surcharges need to me shown as separate line items on an invoice for a customer

Invoicing can vary widely, so including the right details for your customers is essential. This often means showing Freight Minimums and Freight Minimum Surcharges as separate line items on invoices.

We've updated DashFuel to let Accessorial settings handle these calculations and add them automatically to invoices.

Steps to Set It Up

  1. Go to Company Management > Freight Bills Setup.
  2. Choose an Effective Date. If needed, select specific Customer and Product Group filters. (In the example below, we're applying this setup platform-wide, without limiting it to certain customers or products.)
  3. In the Accessorials section, add a new row for each line item you want to auto-calculate and include on invoices. Examples include:
    • Freight Minimum
    • Freight Minimum Surcharge
    • Tolls
  4. For auto-calculation to work, set the Freight Flat field to 1.0000. Adjust other fields in the row as required, such as for driver pay.
